Five Beautifully decorated birthing suites loaded with amenities to make our guests feel like their giving birth at home which helps in the whole relaxation process. They include;

Where you are treated as a guest rather than a patient - At Primera Luz, we feel that when an expecting mother and child are healthy (80% or more of the time) they do not need to be treated as a patient or if they are sick or in the typical hospital/clinical setting. With the technology today and careful monitoring during prenatal care of the mother and child, it can be determined if the birth of your baby is considered low risk. For those 80% that are considered low-risk, our facility will help in making the addition of your new family member a beautiful memory. Our entire facility is set up to provide the perfect balance between the amenities and comfort of being at home and the care and comfort of being surrounded by doctors, midwives, nurses and trained professional that are dedicated to a safe delivery, your care and well being.

A Relaxed atmosphere -- Unlike traditional hospital/clinical settings where video taping the event (or many other activities for that matter) may be prohibited or at the best highly restricted and where the family members are not encouraged to participate, but or asked to await patiently until they are notified, you will see that Primera Luz Birthing Center wants to give back the control to the expecting mother and their family. Rather than be treated as a patient, required to use an IV, electronic monitoring, have to wear provided patient gowns and forced to live under strict rules for your stay until you are cleared to be released, you are truly treated as a guest and allowed much more control of your visit. Focused On Natural Childbirth - Primera Luz is also what is called a “natural birthing center”. Natural childbirth is the term used for a woman who gives birth without the aid of pain medication. Without medication a woman is able to stay fully alert. Advocates for natural childbirth report that going without pain medication enables the mother to remain in control of her labor and delivery. Many women report a sense of feeling empowered by natural childbirth. This is appropriate for approximately 80% of the births today which are classified as “low risk” We provide for both bed birthing and water birthing as safe and natural ways to methods give birth.

• Bed Birthing - We have spared no expense to make the expecting mother feel at home. After all, relaxation is one key factors in helping a women embrace this beautiful and natural event. We have simply provided you with a better environment in order to relax and further you in the mind set. The beds provided in our suites are designed and set up to give the that comfortable, familiar atmosphere of being at home.
• Water Birthing - A less known alternative to bed birthing but with many of it's own advantages in natural childbirth. Primera Luz has specially designed birthing spas that will  help the mother hold a natural and comfortable birthing position in a gravity reduced environment that provides for more complete relaxation between contractions, provides a woman with an excellent medium for the pain reduction and control of body temperature as well as the reduction of fetal distress throughout the drastic changes they experience at birth. • Prenatal Educational Classes -  We provide complete classes for almost every aspect of your pregnancy and postpartum care issues. Whether you need information on nutrition, dealing with changes, breastfeeding, childbirth preparation, lifestyle issues, alternative therapies, pregnancy problems, what to expect during pregnancy, support groups and more, we have educational classes to cover these issues. 

A Full Service Birthing Center - Primera Luz Birthing Center also provides state of the art equipment and services in-house that in most cases there is no need to go elsewhere. For example, we have our own in-house;

• Laboratory - For in-house screenings that are required throughout your pregnancy. 
• Pharmacy - No need to wait in line or send your prescriptions elsewhere anymore.
• Diagnostic equipment - Includes Ultrasound, Baby Doppler and fetal monitoring equipment so that these tests can all be done in-house.

It's no longer necessary to set up separate appointments and schedule with other facilities to complete these tests as other care providers.
